Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretative Center
Preliminary architectural design has been completed for a major Wilderness Trail historical interpretative center to be located near Duffield, Virginia in view of Kane Gap. It will be named the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretative Center. The Association submitted the original request for federal funding for this project and with Congressman Boucher’s assistance $2.56mil has been awarded but much more is needed. The Association is seeking private support for this historic project.
Site preparation work is expected to begin in 2010.
