Wilderness Trail Floor Map

A stunning under epoxy floor graphic has been installed in the Wilderness Road Blockhouse Interpretative Center. A map of the Wilderness Road from Long Island on the Holston to Cumberland Gap was inlaid under epoxy in the floor of the Interpretative Center. The map image measures 7 ft wide by 32 ft long. The image is a primary exhibit that provides an opportunity for visitors to “walk” the road and visit the 1775 landmarks.
The Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Association commissioned SunSyne Graphics of Johnson City, TN to create the map and provide a digital file with the proper resolution for the enlarged image. Agio Imaging of Portage, MI created the 7’ x 32’ image using FloorPix© technology. The image was installed under epoxy by DESCO of Indianapolis, IN.
